JBS ULTRAFINE 92
"Densify Your Concrete with JBS ULTRAFINE 92."
Product Description
JBS ULTRAFINE 92 is a densified silica fume, an ultrafine powder co-product from the silicon or ferrosilicon industry, rich in silicon dioxide (SiO₂). It enhances concrete performance by chemically reacting with calcium hydroxide to form additional calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gel and by filling voids between cement particles, resulting in denser, more durable, and impermeable concrete.
Uses
JBS ULTRAFINE 92 is ideal for:
- High Strength Concrete
- High Performance Concrete
- Ready Mix Concrete
- Precast and Cast-in-Situ Concrete
- Dry and Wet Shotcrete
- Underwater Concrete
- Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC)
Features and Benefits
- Improved Strength and Density: Achieves ultra-high compressive strength and better flexural strength.
- Reduced Permeability: Enhances water tightness and limits the ingress of water, chlorides, sulphates, and chemicals.
- Chemical Resistance: Provides resistance against chlorides, sulphates, acids, and other aggressive chemicals.
- Corrosion Protection: Minimizes reinforcement corrosion.
- Durability: Offers excellent freeze/thaw, abrasion, and erosion resistance.
- Prevents Bleeding and Segregation: Ensures consistent concrete mix quality.
- Structural Efficiency: Reduces member size and increases span lengths for improved structural economics.
Applications
- Basement structures, parking decks, and bridge decks.
- Marine and underwater structures.
- High-performance and prestressed concrete applications.
- Concrete with low cement content or requiring impermeability and chemical resistance.
Advantages
- Enhances durability and compressive strength.
- Ideal for challenging environments requiring high chemical and corrosion resistance.
- Reduces accelerator dosage for shotcrete applications.
- Provides design flexibility and improved structural economics.
