JBS RESICAP
"Strength and Stability You Can Rely On."
Product Description
JBS RESICAP is a high-performance, fast-setting resin capsule designed for rock bolting in mining and tunneling operations. It contains a special grade of isophthalic polyester resin and a catalyst, housed together in a single transparent pouch but isolated to prevent premature reactions. Once activated, it creates a tough thermoset resin matrix, providing exceptional anchoring and stabilization of rock strata.
Uses
- Reinforces rock strata and prevents collapse in mining and tunneling.
- Stabilizes freshly exposed overhead rock after blasting.
- Suitable for underground coal mining, hydropower projects, and traffic tunnels.
Features
- Fast Setting: Gel point achieved within 1–3 minutes under exothermic conditions.
- High Strength: Achieves a pull-out load of up to 20 MT.
- Versatile: Effective in a wide range of rocks, even with low RMR (Rock Mass Rating).
- Durable: Resistant to saltwater, oil, acids, alkalis, greases, and solvents.
- Environmentally Safe: Inert after curing and safe for use in sensitive environments.
- Moisture Resistant: Sets as a monolithic mass in vibrating or moist conditions.
Application Method
- Prepare the Borehole: Drill to the recommended depth and diameter. Clean thoroughly with compressed air or water.
- Insert Capsules: Place the required number of resin capsules one by one into the borehole.
- Torque the Bolt: Attach the bolt to a rotary machine and commence rotating at 150–250 rpm to puncture and mix the resin and catalyst.
- Cure and Tighten: Leave the bolt undisturbed until curing is complete. After 24 hours, tighten the rock bolts for final grouting.
